Open to work
Tristan Berguer
Product Lead · Principal PM · Founding PM · Product Engineer · Head of Product
I own the roadmap, the number, and the pull request.
Ten years of SaaS, from founding teams to product roles inside other people's companies. Activation, retention, churn and pricing on one side; TypeScript and shipped product on the other. Two companies I co-founded raised €12.5M between them, and one was sold.
Looking for
Relocating to the United States. Florida, California or Texas. Happy to start fully remote and move once we both know it works.
French citizen: a US role would need visa sponsorship. Working fully remote from France needs none, and I am already set up for it.
Product Lead, Principal PM, Founding PM or Product Engineer. Full-time or freelance.
After ten years founding and operating, I am deliberately moving into a senior individual-contributor role: I want to own a surface and the metric attached to it, not to manage a large organisation. For most of those ten years I have also been the most senior product person in the room, and I am looking for a team where I am not.

01What I can own
Hand me any of these. Every line below is something that already happened, not something I would like to try.
A product and the number attached to it
Taplio: ARR from €5M to €7M in three months, onboarding churn from 93% to 40%, by rebuilding what usage said mattered.
A zero to one, from nothing to paying
lemcal: €0 to €50k ARR in six months against Calendly. Carimmat: 200,000 users in two years, funded and run.
A team, or a whole company
NiceCactus: grew the team to 50 and raised €8M as CPO, before it was sold. Taplio: interim CEO of a product with a revenue problem.
The build itself, not just the spec
Eleven products designed, coded, priced and launched. BeeSecure alone in eleven days; Beelink in forty-eight hours, paid before it was finished.
The call nobody wants to make
Buska: killed a general-purpose social listening product to become a lead-generation one, and lost early users on purpose. The memo is on this site.Read the decision memo
02Experience
Roles held, newest first. Each number above is explained here: what moved, and what I did to move it.
Founder & Product Engineer
Independent
A deliberate stretch building AI products end to end: research, design, code, pricing and go-to-market, alone or with a co-founder.
- Senthor, an AI-crawler paywall: co-founder and CEO, live
- Atyla, measuring brand visibility inside AI answers: co-founder, live
- BeeSecure, an AI security co-pilot: built solo in 11 days
- Four products shipped in 18 months, each one coded and priced by me

Interim CEO & Product Manager
The LinkedIn growth product I was brought in to turn around, with revenue already falling.
- Started from usage, not from the roadmap: what people searched for most, and where they actually spent their time
- Rebuilt the features that usage said mattered, and left the rest alone
- Onboarding churn fell from 93% to 40%
- That retention is what moved the revenue: ARR from €5M to €7M in three months, +30% over six. Growth came from keeping customers, not from buying more
- Ran the product-led growth motion and led a cross-functional team of developers and marketers

Product Manager
Owned lemcal, a Calendly competitor built around ultra-personalisation.
- Scaled lemcal from €0 to €50k ARR in six months, by making the booking page a piece of personal branding rather than a utility
- 1,000+ companies migrated from Calendly
- Directed a technical team of up to four
- Ran the go-to-market and launch campaigns

Founder & Product Manager
A consumer dating app that matches by licence plate. Founded, funded and run.
- 200,000 users in two years
- Raised €500k
- National coverage: TV, radio and print
